How affiliate links will work
If Measured Bloom links to a retailer through an affiliate program, a purchase made after following that link may generate a commission for the site. The reader's purchase price is generally set by the retailer, not by Measured Bloom.
An affiliate relationship will not be disclosed only on this page. The U.S. Federal Trade Commission advises that material connections should be disclosed clearly and conspicuously, close enough to the recommendation that a reader can understand the relationship when evaluating it. When affiliate links are added, relevant pages will carry a plain-language disclosure near the commercial content.
Affiliate payment does not create first-hand experience
A commission opportunity is not evidence that a product performs well, and it does not turn a researched product mention into a hands-on review. Measured Bloom will not say a product was personally tested unless it was actually tested.
Free or discounted products count as relationships too
If a brand provides a free product, discount, sponsorship, payment, or another material benefit connected to coverage, that relationship should be disclosed. FTC guidance treats financial relationships and free or discounted products as material connections that readers may want to consider.
What we want affiliate content to look like
Commercial links should appear where they naturally help solve a brewing problem: a compatible paper filter in a brewer guide, a scale where repeatable dosing matters, or a WDT tool in a puck-preparation discussion. The site does not need a generic product roundup simply because a commission is available.
