Information entered into brewing tools
The current calculators and troubleshooting tools run in the browser. Values such as coffee dose, water amount, shot time, taste selection, roast level, and other brewing inputs are used by the page to calculate or display a result. The current site does not intentionally submit those tool inputs to a Measured Bloom account or database.
Hosting and technical request data
Measured Bloom is served through third-party web infrastructure. As with ordinary website delivery, hosting, CDN, security, and network providers may process technical request information such as IP address, browser or device information, requested URLs, timestamps, and security signals as needed to deliver and protect the service. Their handling of that information is governed by their own policies and service configuration.
Analytics, cookies, and browser storage
Measured Bloom currently uses Cloudflare Web Analytics / Real User Monitoring (RUM) through Cloudflare's automatic setup. The service collects aggregate page-usage and performance information such as page loads, referrers, landing paths, load timing, and Core Web Vitals so we can understand site performance and general usage.
Cloudflare states that its RUM beacon does not use browser storage such as cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage, or IndexedDB for analytics. Cloudflare also states that the source IP address received during normal request handling is discarded at the nearest Cloudflare data center and is not stored in its core RUM databases or logs.
The current Cloudflare Web Analytics setting uses Cloudflare's EU-exclusion option. Under Cloudflare's published RUM documentation, the beacon does not process RUM performance data for users connecting through the listed EEA/EU and related European data-center locations covered by that option.
Measured Bloom does not currently add separate first-party behavioral tracking for calculator inputs or troubleshooting selections, and Cloudflare Web Analytics does not currently provide custom-event tracking for those tool interactions.

Guides may link to coffee organizations, brewer manufacturers, retailers, or other third-party websites. Once you follow an external link, that site's privacy practices apply. Measured Bloom does not control how a third-party site collects or uses information.
Google Search Console automation
Measured Bloom uses a private, owner-operated automation to read aggregated Google Search Console performance data for this site. The automation requests the Google Search Console read-only scope and is used to collect metrics such as clicks, impressions, search queries, pages, countries, devices, click-through rate, and average position for site optimization.
The automation is not offered as a public sign-in feature and does not request permission to modify Search Console properties. OAuth credentials and refresh tokens are stored as encrypted GitHub Actions secrets and are not published in the site repository. Search performance snapshots may be stored in the private operational workflow for comparison over time.
Measured Bloom does not sell Google user data or use Search Console authorization data for advertising. Access is limited to operating and improving Measured Bloom and can be revoked from the Google Account's connected-app permissions or by deleting the associated OAuth credentials.
Advertising application and future ad serving
Measured Bloom has submitted this site for Google AdSense review. The site currently uses an AdSense account verification meta tag and an ads.txt seller authorization record so Google can verify the site and publisher relationship. The AdSense advertising JavaScript runtime is not currently enabled, and Measured Bloom is not currently serving AdSense ads.
If advertising is enabled after approval, it may involve cookies, consent signals, advertising identifiers, or other data processing beyond the current Cloudflare Web Analytics setup. Before ad serving is enabled, this policy and any required consent or privacy controls will be reviewed against the actual advertising configuration. Affiliate tracking is also not currently enabled and will be reviewed separately before activation.

Children's information
Measured Bloom is a general-audience coffee brewing site and is not designed to collect personal information from children. The current site does not offer user accounts or profile features.
